The Commerce City School System will be closed for students and staff beginning Monday, December 23rd through Monday, January 6th. Staff return on January 6th and students return on Tuesday, January 7th! We hope our students, staff, and community have a safe break, and we can't wait to see everyone in 2025!
Commerce City Schools came together tonight to celebrate our amazing adaptive classes throughout our district.
The evening was filled with recognitions, holiday cheer, gifts, and a special visit from Santa himself, creating memories to last a lifetime. It was truly a night to honor and celebrate our incredible students and the bright spirit they bring to our school system every day.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff members, supportive families, sponsors, and the entire community for coming together to make this event so special. Your love and commitment to our students is what makes nights like this possible.
Today, members of our primary and elementary leadership team visited the brand-new Franklin County Elementary School! This incredible facility was designed and built by the same team of architects and construction experts who will be building our new Commerce Elementary School.
Set to open in August 2027, our new school will be a state-of-the-art learning environment for our students. Touring Franklin County Elementary gave us valuable ideas and inspiration to ensure our school meets the needs of our community for years to come.

Our CPS 1st graders had an unforgettable time celebrating Polar Express Day! Dressed in cozy pajamas, they embarked on a magical journey filled with stories, laughter, and holiday fun.
Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and families for creating such a wonderful experience. The excitement and joy in the childrenās eyes reminded us all of the magic of the season!

Today was filled with holiday cheer! Our district office enjoyed passing out candy canes to all students. Seeing those bright smiles truly made our day. Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!

Our multi-curricular class at CMS had a blast visiting the FACS classroom for a special Christmas cookie bake! Students came together to mix, bake, and decorate delicious holiday treats while learning new skills and spreading festive cheer.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this hands-on activity so memorable!
Today, members of our team had the incredible privilege of touring Southeast Toyota Distributors in Commerce. The experience was nothing short of amazing, showcasing the wonders of possibilities for our Work-Based Learning students and program.
We are so thankful for this partnership and the opportunities it creates for our students to explore, learn, and grow in such an innovative environment.
We were even able to visit with former CCSS students who now work with SET.
Last night, CHS hosted the 2nd Annual Commerce Duals. Our Tigers battled hard to finish 4th in a tough competition against some of the best teams in the state.
Our team showed great effort with three hard-fought matches and seven wrestlers finishing with winning records:

Commerce menās basketball had a historic day, with both the varsity and JV teams defeating Jefferson. Itās been over 10 years since the two schools last played, and the Tigers came out on top in both matchups. A huge win for Commerce basketball!
Today, CPS/CES took the court and showcased their incredible skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, proving what true champions are made of!
We couldnāt be prouder of our athletes for their hard work, dedication, and unstoppable spirit. A heartfelt thank you to all the supporters, coaches, and volunteers who helped make this event so special. And a big shoutout to EJHS for hosting this yearās tournament.
